Acetal rod
Acetals display good impact resistance, dimensional stability, high mechanical strength with natural lubricity and outstanding surface hardness. They have a high dielectric strength and are resistant to many solvents. Moisture absorption is very low and has little or no effect on strength properties. Acetals have a wide working temperature range of -45°C to + l00°C.
- Copolymer grades are best suited for high-temperature water applications
- Acetals are widely used as parts of the food industry*
Not all acetals are F.D.A. approved - apical applications include bearings, gears, bushing and wear resistant components
